Out of the Box Theatre Company is a new non-profit theatre group dedicated to providing the Santa Barbara community with alternative theatre, focusing primarily on contemporary musical works. While the artistic community in Santa Barbara is impressive for its size, musical theatre has long since been limited to the year-round national touring groups. Out of the Box Theatre Company is bringing grassroots theatre back to the neighborhood with local actors, local musicians and local directors.
