First Congregational Church of Santa Barbara, United Church of Christ, is a progressive, Christian church that believes justice is a part of faith. In 1990 we adopted our Just Peace Statement, affirming our commitment to peace. In 1999 we adopted our Open and Affirming Statement, intentionally welcoming lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people into the full life and ministry of our congregation.

We are a diverse congregation, expressing a wide variety of beliefs. We are also a family who enjoys welcoming others.
