POOPPAC: THE PERFECT GIFT FOR THE DOG LOVERS ON YOUR HOLIDAY LIST
Pet Product News Calls Stylish Portable Dog Waste Carrier a Must-Have for Dog Owners
Santa Barbara, Calif. (August 4, 2010) This holiday season, give a gift that will solve your favorite dog lovers problem of where to stash pet waste until they find a trash can. PoopPac, a company specializing in pet care innovations, recently introduced the industrys first portable pet waste carrier. Designed to be both stylish and functional, the PoopPac makes a great gift for dog walkers who are tired of holding the smelly bag while out with their pooch.
Every year, people struggle to find truly unique gifts for their friends and family a special item they could really use and wouldnt necessarily pick up for themselves, said company founder, Susan Davidson. Nearly 40 percent of American households are home to at least one dog*. I dont think any one of those owners enjoys toting around a bag of their dogs waste while on a walk, particularly if they are carrying something else, like a cup of coffee or a bag of bagels.
Within weeks of launching, PoopPac won the Editors Choice Award 2010 from Pet Product News. Each year, the leading publications evaluators select a handful of new products for its awards, which are based on innovation, function or design, or a combination of all three.
The story in the August issue of Pet Product News stated, Our editors were impressed with PoopPac because it offers many functions in one easy-to-carry, machine-washable itemThe sturdy construction and practical all-in-one design make this a must-have for dog owners.
PoopPac is sold on www.pooppac.com and prices start at $29.95 plus tax and shipping.
We are honored and delighted to have PoopPac recognized so soon after its launch, said Davidson. This award gives holiday shoppers assurance that PoopPac will make a terrific gift for their dog-loving friends and family.
Davidson was inspired to create the PoopPac after observing dogs and their owners on the beach in her hometown of Santa Barbara, California. It is common for people everywhere to bag their dogs waste and then carry it with them until they can locate a place to toss it. With a leash in one hand and a poop-filled bag in the other, theres practically no way to sip a beverage or take a cell phone call without experiencing a too-close-for-comfort encounter.
The PoopPac, manufactured in the U.S.A., is durable, light and machine washable. Its rigid frame ensures the waste will remain in the case and not come into contact with other items. Its main compartment zips open, is wipe-able and contains an activated charcoal filter to absorb odors. PoopPac also has a separate compartment to carry and dispense plastic bags for scooping as well as to hold items, such as keys, a cell phone and dog treats.
There are several ways to carry a PoopPac. It comes with a built-in belt clip, and a removable wrist lanyard and carabineer clip. A shoulder strap is also available. PoopPac can be attached to a backpack, belt loop, leash or even a stroller.
PoopPac is available in black with a choice of seven zipper colors, camouflage or black and white, and measures 7w x 5.5 h x 3.25d. The unisex black case design features a raised dog paw print. PoopPac plans to introduce larger sizes as well as faux leather and suede later this year.
